What happened: The commissioners approved an addendum to terms of services from the Hamilton County Emergency Management Department for GovWorx, Inc. What it means : GovWorx, Inc. is a new software that will be implemented for pre-employment testing for applicants applying for dispatcher positions. What’s next: Dispatchers, specifically, will be put through a new series of tests during the hiring process. Instead of taking a standard test, the new software allows them to do real-life interfacing and work directly in systems closely resembling what they would be if they were a communications dispatcher. What happened : The commissioners approved a mural for the side of the Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District building. What it means: The new mural will showcase the department’s new logo and colors. It will be four panels, hand-painted and tie in wildlife, water quality, community involvement and urban conservation. What happened: The commissioners approved an exception for seasonal work hours for the Hamilton County Parks Department. What it means : Because of staff shortages, the exception allows part-time, seasonal employees of the parks and recreation department to exceed 29 work hours per week or 129 hours per month for the 2026 summer season. Normal work hours, for those considered seasonal or part-time, will be 37.5 hours per week for those working with events, programs, campground and/or maintenance. What’s next: The employment period will be approximately mid-April to October. No part-time employee will work more than 1,500 hours in 2026. Related posts: No related posts. Share. Tumblr
