Case Summary
Following a jury trial, Matthew Richardson was convicted of murder and
pointing a firearm. He received permission to file a belated appeal, which was
stayed while he also pursued post-conviction relief (PCR), claiming that he
received ineffective assistance of trial counsel. Following a hearing, the postconviction court denied Richardson’s PCR petition. Richardson now brings
this joint appeal of his convictions and the denial of PCR, raising the following
restated issues for our review:
