On May 20, 2020, Truelove made a verbal offer to Cully—Justine’s husband and brother-in-law to Yarnell and Jennifer—to purchase the property for $624,450. Cully stated that he would convey the offer to Owners and Yarnell. Shortly after this conversation, Cully sent a text message to Truelove confirming the dollar amount of the offer.
