This Country Singer Gave Bob Dylan Her Number. She’s Now His Opening Act.

Brittney Spencer was playing with quite the legendary lineup when she was on the bill at the traveling Outlaw Music Festival in 2024. Videos by Wide Open Country Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp were among the headliners, and former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant performed with Alison Krauss that year. Still, the "Bigger Than the Song" singer was taken by surprise when Bob Dylan knocked on her dressing room door. Bob Dylan Loved Her Music At that time, Spencer only had her debut album out, My Stupid Life . She certainly didn't expect to meet any of the stars she was touring with, let alone Dylan. Spencer shared on Instagram, "Two summers ago, Bob Dylan came into my dressing room after our set at Outlaw and told me he really liked my songs. He was so detailed about it all that I could barely handle it, lol." She continued, "He asked for my number. I wrote it on a napkin and gave it to him. He didn't call. I think this is his way of calling now, and I'm picking up on the first ring."
