A burn ban is in place across Warren County and the City of Bowling Green as dry conditions continue to plague the region.
Warren County Judge-Executive Doug Gorman issued the ban on Monday. A fine of no less than $50 and no more than $500 will be brought against anyone who lights fires outside until the ban is lifted.
The ban was requested by the chiefs of the Bowling Green and Warren County fire departments and includes the lighting of fireworks and the burning of any materials outdoors.
The ban is in place until further notice.
