Collins, pro se, appeals the trial court’s partial denial of his motion to correct sentence. Because the sentencing error at issue is apparent on the face of the sentencing judgment, Collins is entitled to a prompt correction of his sentence. We reverse and remand. Facts & Procedural History In bifurcated jury trials, Collins was found guilty of Class B felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon (SVF), Class B felony burglary, and Class D felony theft and was determined to be a habitual offender.
