Case Summary
Following a jury trial, Malik Thomas Fikes was convicted of rape as a Level 3
felony. He then pled guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious
violent felon as a Level 4 felony. On appeal, Fikes argues that the trial court
erred in admitting indirect vouching testimony. Recognizing that he did not
object at trial, Fikes argues that admission of such testimony constitutes
fundamental error.
