(WNDU) - President Donald Trump announced his endorsement in the Republican primary for Indiana’s 11th State Senate District.
President Trump posted on Truth Social Tuesday that he is endorsing Dr. Brian Schmutzler, who is running against incumbent State Sen. Linda Rogers.
The president described Schmutzler as a “MAGA warrior” and “real Republican” while calling Rogers “a ‘RINO’ loser who has failed the wonderful people of Indiana so badly.” (RINO is an acronym for “Republicans In Name Only,” a derogatory political label for someone seen as not truly adhering to Republican positions/principles.)
Schmutzler thanked President Trump for his endorsement
in a Facebook post
, saying “I will not let you or the great people of District 11 down.”
WNDU 16 News Now has reached out to Rogers and is waiting for a response.
According to
Schmutzler’s website
, his mission is “fighting endless government debt, government health mandates, and harmful chemicals in food.”
