At the beginning of his 2007 jury trial for murder and felony murder, Lewis entered into a plea agreement, in which he pled guilty to murder with sentencing left open. The trial court later sentenced Lewis to sixty-three years, which sentence was upheld on direct appeal. Lewis, pro se, now appeals the denial of his petition for post-conviction relief (PCR).
