The dispute began when ten-year-old “Bam,” a member of the Tate family, felt eleven-year-old “Punney” Williams had stolen his iPod; Punney maintained he won the iPod in a bet. Female members of the Tate family tried to intercede and became embroiled in an altercation with male members of the Williams family. Damien Williams, however, tried to break up the fight. Police came and the crowd dispersed. Afterward, the Tate group went to a nearby home (the “Tate home”).
