Williams was trying to get in touch with Simon because he heard Simon was spreading rumors about Williams being “the police.” Tr. Vol. 3 at 137. On March 15, Williams was at a cell phone store in Indianapolis when a vehicle Williams recognized as Simon’s pulled up. Simon was driving and several other people were with him.
