According to the application, L.S. suffered from a psychiatric disorder and was a danger to himself or others because of paranoia, aggression, and suicidal thoughts. During a commitment hearing, L.S.’ attending physician at River Bend Hospital in Lafayette, Dr. Ayodeji Ogunleye, reported L.S. has schizoaffective disorder and substance abuse disorder.
