While inside the store, they began to argue over money and then continued to argue as they walked to Lewis’s van in the parking lot. When they returned to the van, Lewis sat in the back of the van while Perez sat in the front passenger seat. Lewis was screaming at Perez, which he was concerned would attract police attention.
