On January 17, 2024, Officer Samuel Cohrs (“Officer Cohrs”) of the
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a disturbance in a
residential area of Indianapolis. Officer Cohrs arrived and found Kelsey
Showecker (“Showecker”) with a broken and bloodied fingernail and fragments
of her hair missing.
