During the investigation, S.S. alleged that the elected prosecutor sexually abused him in the late 1980s, when S.S. was his client. In July 2014, the State charged S.S. with murder. A special prosecutor was appointed, and investigations were conducted by the Indiana State Police and the Indiana Disciplinary Commission, with no resulting charges or disciplinary action. A special judge was also appointed. S.S.
