On August 14, 2024, Roll and the State entered a plea agreement under which Roll would plead guilty to neglect of a dependent as a Level 6 felony rather than a Level 3 felony and the remaining charge would be dismissed. The plea agreement called for a sentence of 730 days executed where 724 days of the sentence would be suspended to supervised probation.
