At this time T.A. was incarcerated, but Mother contacted T.A. and notified him of the child’s birth. 2 See Tr. Vol. 2 p. 10. Prior to this communication, T.A. was unaware that Mother had been pregnant. After the child’s birth, a Child in Need of Services (“CHINS”) petition was filed in Marion County by the Indiana Department of Child Services (“DCS”) concerning the child and T.A. was named as a party to that action.
