On September 19, 2024, the State filed a four-count information against
Johnson that included a charge of murder for the death of Kevin Stigger
(“Stigger”). The remaining counts were for Level 1 felony attempted murder,
Level 5 felony reckless homicide, and Level 5 felony criminal recklessness.
With regard to Count I—the count of murder—the charging information
specifically alleged as follows: “On or about September 30, 2022, JAMION
JOHNSON did knowingly kill another human being, to-wit: Kevin Stigger[.]”
