── Commitment of B D ── Case No.: 25A-MH-00597 Court: Indiana Court of Appeals Date: October 10, 2025 Author: Judge Peter Foley County of Origin: Marion Category: Civil Decision: Affirmed Judge Kenworthy and Judge Scheele concur B.D. was initially admitted to the Hospital on July 10, 2024. 1 She was fortyfive years old at the time and had been previously diagnosed with schizophrenia, “seizure disorder secondary to head trauma,” and an “unspecified intellectual impairment.” Tr. Vol. II p. 15. When B.D. was nine years old, she suffered a traumatic brain injury, which caused her to be in a coma “for quite a while.” Id.
