Before leaving, Stephenson needed to drop off her 1 Ind. Code § 35-47-2-1.5(b), (e)(2)(B). 2 I.C. §§ 35-44.1-2-2(a)(1)(A); 35-41-5-1. three-year-old son (“Son”) with his father, Micah Anderson (“Anderson”). When they went to drop off Son, Stephenson was driving, Johnson was in the front passenger seat, and Mendoza and Son were in the backseat.
