Kosciusko County Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents: 9:31 a.m. Monday, April 6, West CR 1350N, at North CR 700W, Nappanee . Driver: Tara M. Depew, 51, West CR 125N, Etna Green. Depew swerved her vehicle to avoid hitting a dog. This caused her vehicle to leave the roadway and hit a Nipsco utility pole. Damages up to $10,000. 4 a.m. Friday, April 3, West CR 700S, at South CR 400W, Claypool . Driver: Jacob B. Straner, 35, South CR 700W, Claypool . Straner’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages under $1,000. 6:18 p.m. Thursday, April 2, North SR 19, north of West CR 1350N, Nappanee . Driver: Sheila K. Baker, 54, East State Street, Etna Green. Baker had a medical emergency, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn onto its top. Baker was treated by medics before being taken to Elkhart General Hospital for a complaint of general body pain. Damages up to $50,000.
