Guillen was driving left of the center line and braking rapidly, prompting Officer Gage to activate his emergency lights. Rather than stopping, Guillen accelerated and led Officer Gage on a chase into Michigan. The chase ended there only after Michigan police used spike sticks to flatten Guillen’s tires.
