Stop, Don’t Do That [0:00-5:00]

Hello, my name is Andrew Keane, welcome to Keane on America, the daily interview show about the United States. Hello everybody, we are in Washington, DC. The show is on the road this week in Washington, DC. We are on Keane on America looking for America's heart and what better person to talk to about America's heart than my guest today, one of America's most remarkable figures, Peter Edelman, longtime lawyer, professor, writer, he was a principal aide to Bobby Kennedy and he wrote a book once called Finding America's Heart, Peter welcome to Keane on America. Where do we look for America's heart these days? That's a good question. What is the thing that we have is wonderful in the fact that people get out and say on this man who says he's the whatever he is, president. And just a huge, huge number of people to say no, we don't agree with them. And that's wonderful because people talk against that president. You were born Peter in Minnesota in Minneapolis, so I'm guessing that you have a particular emotional response to the events there over the last few months. Very much. It is, of course, people think about that in the whole country and really even bigger than that. But I certainly thought I think in a special way about Minnesota and seeing and using the killing to two people, unbelievable that could have happened. So I do think of that. Before we switched the camera on Peter, you noted to me that after your family, Bobby Kennedy was the most important person in your life. Why is that? I had gone to Harvard and gotten connections from Minnesota. And fortunately, I got connected and just when his brother was killed, and I was working there in that place. And when that happened, he needed to make his life. And I was lucky to have the being working with him, therefore when he became himself. And I was just there working with him until he was killed. And so I learned so much to him. And it really is what I think about him and what we do and how to do about things to the day.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
