Keeping Up With The Chaldeans - Bonnie's Creations [0:00-5:00]
Hey everyone, welcome back to Keep It Up With The Caldeons. I'm Anthony Toma, your host today. We're here with the people of Bonnie's Creations, Bonnie and Lauren, Lauren with an eye. Yep. Lauren. Lauren. Yeah. So why don't Bonnie, why don't you kick us off and tell us what Bonnie's Creations is and what kind of products and you said. So 2007 is when I started Bonnie's Creations. I had just moved into my new home and in 2007 candles were just a big hit with angels and bibles with rhinestones and picture frames with Serovsky crystals around them. And as I went to go accessorize my house, I was shopping and realized I'm an artist. I can do this. I've been doing art all my life. I've had high school that's all I took was art classes. I took a few art classes in college and I said, you know what, I could do this myself. So I went and I started looking for crafts and candles and frames and I started just doing my creations and putting them all over my house. And then some of my friends came over and cousins and whatever relatives and they were like, oh my gosh, Bonnie, where did you get this candle from? I'm like, I made it. And they're like, wow, this is beautiful. Can you make me one? I'm like sure, bibles, et cetera, all this stuff that was in the terror tradition albums with the little Serovsky and a little tassel, tapestries, I was doing everything. I started like being more and more and more creative. So then my friends were like, why don't you do, you know, a show at extravaganza at Shen and Doha, they're having this big, you know, shopping thing, it's a bunch of girls mingle and they shop, I said, sure, you know what, let me try it. So I went and bought a bunch of stuff and started doing my creations and I did a show and it just took off and everybody was like, do you do favors, do you do unity candles for brides? I said, yes, do you do ring boy pillows, do you do, and then every year, I would just come up with new ideas. And then I started doing funeral candles and funeral pictures. And it's such a sentimental gift because people are like, this is beautiful, set of sending flowers, I can go and get, you know, a candle with the deceased one and loved ones with their names and date and monogramming and they can display it in their home and it'll last forever, exactly. And then that's when Lauren comes in, I started, my stuff just took off. Audience creations was so busy, I used to actually have LA insurance but I stopped working there and I just started doing Bonnie's creations and then Lauren at nine years old, I was like Lauren. I'm busy, I have so many orders and then she would come in and help me and she's also creative because she came up with a few ideas herself. So that's when Lauren would help me here and there until then she got on TikTok and then I was, I kind of like, she would still help me and that's about it. Okay. Yeah. That's very cool. What are you, you mentioned a lot of different creatives that you make. So what are these things for, like what, what, what events or what, so we do baptisms, communions, weddings, funerals, honestly, everything you held in goes to. What about communions? We did. Communions, we did a lot of favors, like canvases or we'll put like condos with like, about those kinds of crowns. No. No. Bibles, accessories, and stuff for displays in your home. Very cool. Yeah. So what's your role now? Now I just took over, I do everything. She doesn't, so she'll still contact people for me. Like people still like, that's her. Reach out to her. Yeah. And then I just, I just took over everything. Yeah. And so she's there for you. So the concept and all the design, the creativity kind of flowed into your court, but she's still there to get. Yeah. She created it. Yeah. But I kind of took it on to the newer generation, because like everything's kind of different now. Yeah. Like more simple. New or nine. You're doing this as you were nine years old, right? Yeah. Moved it on some more modern. More modern. More clean. People are more simple now.
