Explainer - The Iran War and Armaggedon [5:06-7:58]

are telling the troops that this battle is part of God's plan for the second coming. In other words, this battle is to trigger Armageddon. And so Armageddon then leads to the return of Christ and the millennium. And they're telling them this mainly because Israel is involved and because it's in the Middle East and we're attacking an enemy of Israel and so on and so forth. And they go with the verses about those who bless Israel, I will bless and we're supporting Israel against an enemy and so on and so forth. They are telling troops this. They are telling them that this is part of God's plan for the second coming. Now however you may feel about pre-millennialism, post-millennialism, the second coming Christ any of that, no matter how you feel about that, telling troops that we are taking military action that's going to involve the deaths of many people, including possibly your deaths because we are following a belief system that is certainly not universal. And we are doing this because we are going to force God's hand. We are going to push God into starting Armageddon. That is so, so wrong and yet it is happening. Now you may be thinking what did Trump start this war for this reason? No. Trump wouldn't know this from boo. He doesn't know anything about pre-millennialism or he probably doesn't know anything about Armageddon or any of those things. No, but Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of War, the Secretary of Defense, is an almost fanatical, evangelical Christian who absolutely believes this stuff. So I'm simply laying this out so you have the explainer in front of you. So when you hear these terms and you hear these reports, you understand some of where it's coming from. It's absolutely wrong. It has no place in military work and it is beyond that, it's in my opinion almost sacrilegious to believe that we can force the hand of God. If you believe in God, we can force the hand of God by doing a military exercise. So that's the explainer.
