GOP leaders move to end Homeland Security shutdown | FOX 5 AT 6AM [5:47-9:07]
All right, now there's some time feeling today yesterday absolutely gorgeous if you enjoy the you know, a little taste of summer in the early early April. There's a lot of you at the White House this morning and about four minutes past the hour. Looks like you're getting a little wet today talking. You know, I felt very patriotic last night when I watched the rocket blast off of the American flag was right there. I kept running outside to see like nice. Yeah, I said it was just clouds and rain, but you know, and then people said stuff like it's always back in 1972. There were only like four people alive then I was like, there's one of them. So yeah, but anyways, very excited about that. Okay, storms, you guys mentioned them. They came through and we're looking at quieter conditions for the day to day, but a much cooler day, much cooler foggy cloud cover will linger for you and only low to mid 60s. I mean, honestly, that's what we should be. And a big cool down today will respond with a nice jump here for Friday and Saturday back into the 80s by tomorrow and for the weekend. Okay, numbers early this morning already showing the reflection of a cold front coming through 57 BWI Marshall 61 DCA and Delta 63 degrees. You can see we are done with the rain. And in some cases, the thunderstorms had one or two severe thunderstorms yesterday and the front will just kind of hang across the area today. So the cloud cover more afraid will linger for much of the day. You might get a few peaks of sunshine, but generally a cloudy day. I think it'll be a dry afternoon. It's just won't warm up a lot as we'll have low clouds and fog and maybe even a little drizzle at time 62 degrees. Winds are out of the east, so get the winds off the ocean this time of year. You keep the cloud cover locked in and the cool conditions around here for the day. warmer tomorrow, I'll have weekend forecast where you come right up. I know a big holiday weekend, Easter weekend. Shout out time and let's start with the download now, the Fox local app. If you don't have it yet, you need to get it today. It's actually free and you know, you could use it yesterday, could have watched the storms go by and you know, if you're outside working, it's a great tool to have and it's absolutely afraid. Okay, we've got a couple of shout outs. Yesterday, anyway, we did a lot of birthday celebrations. We've got Alice checking in from Prince Frederick. Hey, Uncle Tucker, happy spring from all of us at Beloved Start Daycare. We have loved Alice and Beloved Start Daycare for years and years. They come out every year to a zip trip and they've got the cutest, just the cutest. Look at how cute that little guy is. Looks like he's doing a report there from the Easter Bunny. That's so funny. Scan me the upper right hand corner and let us know where you're checking in. Chris from Winchester, Miss Ellie May Joanne. Gotta get that name, right? Ellie May Joanne and Joanne, the weather these past few days, taking walks all over the mountain here in West Winchester, Virginia. Chris, we thank you for checking in and Ellie May Joanne, make it a great day. Ellie May, that's so cute. Scan us the upper right hand corner. Do you know where we're watching from? That's adorable. We love it. That's cute. I love Easter so much and I need you guys to set up a nice little egg on here in the studio. I don't know why I said I can do it. Nevermind, we'll take a look here in about 50. New York Avenue should be about 14 minutes or so, Maryland 202 towards the third street. Tunnels to start to see that increase that we pretty normally do here at six o'clock. 395 headed northbound, about 11 minutes between the Bellway and the 14th Street Bridge. No incidents there as well as 95, 20 coats towards the Bellway, 26 miles. Currently going to take you about 28 minutes. Particularly in Parkway starting to see a few more cars here with the mixing bowl. It's what the flow of traffic looks like here before we see the sudden hubbub. So we'll keep you updated in the next 10 minutes.
