Coast Guard Academy Safe-to-Report Parity Act

Coast Guard Academy Safe-to-Report Parity ActThis bill extends a requirement for specified military departments to establish a safe-to-report policy to the Coast Guard Academy. Under the bill, the Coast Guard must establish a policy that addresses the handling of minor collateral misconduct involving a servicemember or cadet who is the alleged victim of sexual assault. The policy must specify aggravating circumstances that increase the gravity or impact of the minor collateral misconduct. The bill also requires the Coast Guard to track incidents subject to the safe-to-report policy.
