In 2016, Chadwick was working for Bama when he picked up a load of steel
bars and began hauling them to a facility operated by Niagara. En route, while
Chadwick was stopped in Indiana, two of the bars rolled off Chadwick’s truck
and fell onto his legs. As a result, Chadwick suffered severe injuries that
required, among other things, amputation of his legs. Chadwick filed a worker’s
compensation claim against Bama in Alabama, where the company was
headquartered.
