31st Street Monthly Mtng - Feb 22 2026 - Nebraska - Strategy to Flip Senate Seat [46:41-51:49]

the Alaska 907 initiative really seems to be pretty effective in the way they're going about it. So it's a good model that, you know, so we found this opportunity in Nebraska where they wanted to do something like that. So we kind of seized on it over. Great. Okay, and I think that answers the question that somebody had, why has this decision been taken? You've seen some proven results with that. But certainly it's not the only thing we're we're going to be doing this entire year. It's one of the tools that we have in our toolkit. Okay, another question. What themes is, are, is Rick it's going to use to kind of shoot back against this? How can he defend himself? I'm sure he's aware of what you're doing and what's he going to do? Yeah, well, I think sometimes there's a little hesitancy to go the accountability route because then you're sort of baiting the person to be spending earlier, right? We're not worried about that in this case because Rickets already spent nearly $5 million last year in 2025 between his his campaign and affiliated packs in support of his candidacy. So he has been out spending on TV ads very, very early in the cycle. And a lot of that has been negative against Dana Osborne, especially in the part of his packs. So, you know, Rickets has deep, deep pockets and is already spending from them. So, you know, we got to, we got to do weekend. Great. All right, there's a few more questions in the chat like about ice and actually the answers have sort of been in the chat already. Yes, ice apparently has been active in Nebraska. So I think people can look at that as well. But I think what we'll do now is we have a couple other things we need to get to in our program for today. So can we all give Adele a big big hand? Thank you so much for spending time with us. And then at the end of our formal meeting at 5 o'clock, we have a time for like informal chat. And so Adele, if you want to stay on for that, you're welcome to. So people can ask questions at that point as well. But we do want to move forward. So I'm going to go ahead hand the mic over to Mary Pence who has something else Nebraska related to share with us. Thanks Aaron. Hello everyone. So I want to tell you about something very concrete and specific and very rewarding that you can do in the fight to save our democracy. And that is to be what we call an ambassador for a fundraiser to raise money to hold Pete Ricketts accountable as you've just heard. Now in order to fill this role, you need to be able to do three things. One, you have to be able to hit the forward click on the forward forward button at the bottom of an email containing the invitation and then delete the language that's now extraneous. That's number one. Number two, you need to be able to comb your network and identify at least 10 people that you think based on something some conversation you've had or maybe an email that they wrote that you read about 10 people that you believe share your passion for saving our democracy. And when you've identified those 10 people, then you just write a short little intro to the invitation to connect with the particular person you're inviting. So, you know, if you're writing to your college roommate, say you might reference something some conversation you had or something that has come up that you that you have both shared your enthusiasm for saving our democracy. So those are the only who have to be able to do to be an ambassador. And when I see it's rewarding, what I mean is, you know, whenever I am feeling particularly helpless and anxious and furious about what the latest outrageous thing is, it's happened. The one thing that consistently makes me feel better is to take some action. And if you just spend a few minutes and send out one or two or three of these invitations, I can always speak for myself, but it really makes me feel better. So, if you would willing, if you have the ability to do those three things and if you would be willing to be an ambassador, I will put my email in the chat and I ask you to just send me your name.

{# E23 (Nick, ruling section 1 answer 10): quoting a bill or a court opinion works the way quoting a news article works. Select a passage above and the same panel opens: the passage goes to the official you choose, with this document's own address as its source and its own type. #}
