Residential Property Insurance Policy Cancellations, Nonrenewals, and Rate Changes
Prohibits insurers from canceling or nonrenewing, within certain timeframes, policies covering personal residential or commercial residential properties damaged by hurricanes or wind losses; provides that such prohibition applies to flood damages caused by hurricanes; provides that insurer may not cancel personal residential or commercial residential property insurance policies until certain repairs are made or specified policy renewal expires; prohibits certain claims for loss or damage from being covered under extended or renewed policy.
