Mark Bailey County of Origin: Tippecanoe Category: Criminal Decision: Affirmed Judge Kirsch and Judge Mathias concur In 2005, Coleman was convicted of Robbery while armed with a Deadly Weapon, a Class B felony,2 and found to be a habitual offender.3 He was sentenced to twenty years imprisonment, enhanced by thirty years due to his status as a habitual offender. Coleman appealed, challenging his pretrial identification as improper and arguing that his sentence was inappropriate. His conviction and sentence were affirmed. On April 26, 2011, Coleman filed a petition for post-conviction relief, which was later amended and denied.
