App. v. II at 32. On April 15, 2019, Shouse and Joshua Coleman (“Coleman”) went to the apartment building. Coleman stayed in the vehicle while Shouse went into the building. Shouse went up the stairs and knocked twice on the door of apartment number five. Having received no response to his knocking, Shouse used a key to unlock the apartment door. 1 Ind.
