An Act Requiring That Health Carriers Assume Responsibility For The Collection Of Out-of-pocket Expenses For Covered Benefits.

To require that health carriers (1) collect any coinsurance, copayment, deductible or other out-of-pocket expense due and owing for a covered benefit that the health care provider provided to the insured, and (2) pay, after a certain period of time, such unpaid out-of-pocket expense due and owing for such covered benefit.
