The Lake House had been acquired by a Stanley ancestor in the early 1900’s and was then owned jointly by Mark’s parents. Sasha died in 2011 and Karol died in 2015. Karol’s will left two parcels of real estate in equal shares to his five children: the Lake House (appraised at over $900,000) and a house in Ohio, which was in a state of disrepair (the “Banyon House”).
