Mark Bailey County of Origin: Vanderburgh Category: Juvenile Decision: Affirmed Judge Vaidik and Judge DeBoer concur A.B. was born on September 2, 2008. His family has a history of involvement with the Indiana Department of Child Services (“DCS”), including “47 DCS assessments” of his family for child abuse and/or neglect. App. at 15. In 2009, DCS filed a Child in Need of Services (“CHINS”) petition as to A.B. due to the substance abuse of A.B.’s mother (“Mother”). Mother subsequently completed court-ordered participation in drug court and the CHINS case was closed. In April 2020, A.B. was adjudicated a delinquent child for a battery-related offense.
