In July 2014, Jurus entered into a land contract with Joe Bailey. Pursuant to that contract, Bailey agreed to purchase the real estate for $155,000, to be paid in monthly installments beginning on August 1, 2014, and ending on July 31, 2019. However, the parties agreed that Jurus would “retain[] a life estate in the real estate upon which is erected the main residence[.]” Appellant’s App. Vol. 2 at 33 (emphasis removed).
