On July 9, 2021, the State charged Kolson with aggravated battery, as a Level 3
felony (Count 1); criminal confinement, as a Level 3 felony (Count 2); two
counts of domestic battery, as Level 5 felonies (Counts 3 and 4); three counts of
domestic battery, as Level 6 felonies (Counts 5, 6, and 7); and intimidation, as a
Level 6 felony (Count 8). On November 3, 2022, Kolson entered into a plea
agreement, pursuant to which he agreed to plead guilty to Counts 1, 2, and 8 in
exchange for the dismissal of the remaining counts.
