Shortly after Bowser entered Turner’s home, she was “mauled” by Turner’s dog. Tr. at 57. Bowser sustained “multiple puncture wounds,” and her ankle was “fractured in three places.” Id. at 118-19. Bowser was transported to the hospital, where she underwent a surgical repair. Bowser was discharged to her home on January 14 with instructions to not bear weight on her ankle.
