Justice Goff concurs in result A.W., a seventeen-year-old, fled on foot from a traffic stop for speeding. While A.W. ran, officers noticed a gun in his hand. Indianapolis police officer Scott Highland ordered A.W. to get on the ground several times, “Juvenile adjudication” is now the preferred term of art for what was commonly called a “true finding,” the juvenile law equivalent of a guilty verdict on a particular count in adult criminal court. The case today involves multiple juvenile adjudications in the same case, triggering a Wadle substantive double jeopardy analysis.
