State of Indiana ── Case No.: 24A-PC-00279 Court: Indiana Court of Appeals Date: February 11, 2026 Author: Judge Elizabeth Tavitas County of Origin: Marion Category: Criminal Decision: Affirmed Judge Bailey and Judge Kenworthy concur On November 18, 2006, Joseph Ubnoski and Blossum Kirby were shot by Gray in Indianapolis. Ubnoski died as a result of his wounds, and Kirby sustained a gunshot wound to her thigh. The State charged Gray with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, robbery, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, and two counts of carrying a handgun without a license. Gray was represented by Attorney Patrick Schrems.
