John Bush Takes Us Inside Anthrax's 1990's Era | Exclusive Interview [50:36-52:52]
uh, you know, again, I was, we were so young and, and we went to Bates Leathers, which provide, is a place where you buy, like motorcycle gear, right? You know, so, um, and I bought a white leather jacket. So I was stoked on it and, um, and my parents, you know, it was, it was not cheap, even then. It was probably like three and a 50 bucks or something like that. And so they nice enough, my parents were to purchase that for me and, and then I got it and I go, okay, now I'm going to cut the sleeves off and they're like, what? I go, yeah, I want it. I want it to be like a vest and they're like, we just made like three and a 50 bucks for this thing. I go, yeah, but that, but why I want to cut the sleeves off then. And they're like, all right. You know, they were probably not happy about it, but, uh, but that vest is very famous and amazing. Yeah, that's cool. Amazing. And you guys just recorded, uh, we're all recording or just finished recording a new album. Armored Sains just finished a record while we haven't finished it completely yet. We're, we're in the mix mode now soon. And, um, it's going to be mixed by Jay Rustin who mixed the last two records for us and he doesn't have a spectacular job. And, um, I was listening to tunes, uh, prior to coming here, kind of just kind of checking the lyrics, making sure they're correct and stuff and, um, and the records killer. It's going to be awesome. I can't really mention a title yet because it's still a little too premature. But I can tell you that the record is, is great. It sounds really like classic saying, but you know, it also sounds a little different than the last couple of records. And, um, but it's, you know, like I said, vintage Armored Sains with showing the roots of the band, but, you know, taking some chances and the songwriting is just, I think it's top notch and really proud of it. I think we've, we've come a long way. You know, from 1983 and 84, our first couple records till making records still, that's going to come out in 2026 and saying that they, they hold up, you know, I'm, I'm stoked. I'm really proud. Amazing. I can't wait for it. And when it comes out, we'll do another episode. We'll do another. We'll go track by track. Do something like that. That'd be fun. I love it. Well, thank you, John. This was great. I really appreciate your time and all the music you've created. Oh, thank you. Appreciate it being on here, Scott. Thanks a lot. Cheers.
