Our next speaker requires little introduction in this setting, and in fact, he asked me not to introduce him, but I will anyway. He has a long record of distinguished service to this district and to our country as a whole, serving as among many other things. United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut, and as the United States Circuit Judge on the Second Circuit since 1979, and as its Chief Judge from 1993 to 1997.
