Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Strengthening Citizenship Services for Veterans Act''. SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. In this Act: (1) Biometric collection.--The term ``biometric collection'' means the biometric collection described in section 103.2(b)(9) of title 8, Code of Federal Regulations, during which the applicant provides information, including by providing fingerprints, photographs, or signatures, to confirm his or her identity and to satisfy any requirement for background and security checks in connection with an application to become a naturalized citizen of the United States. (2) Eligible veteran.--The term ``eligible veteran''-- (A) means a veteran who is a noncitizen; and (B) includes any veteran who-- (i) was removed from the United States; or (ii) is not in the United States and is inadmissible under section 212(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1182(a)).
