Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Seaman Danyelle Luckey Military Medical Accountability Amendment Act of 2024''. SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION OF CERTAIN CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH CAUSED BY MEDICAL MALPRACTICE ONBOARD CERTAIN NAVAL VESSELS. (a) Authorization.--Section 2733a of title 10, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in subsection (b)(3), by inserting ``or onboard a covered naval vessel of the United States that, at the time of such occurrence, was not engaged in combat operations'' after ``facility''; and (2) in subsection (j)-- (A) by redesignating paragraphs (2) and (3) as paragraphs (3) and (4), respectively; and (B) by inserting after paragraph (1) the following new paragraph: ``(2) Covered naval vessel.--The term `covered naval vessel' means an aircraft carrier, landing helicopter assault ship, or landing helicopter dock ship.''. (b) Applicability; Filing Period for Certain Claims.-- (1) Applicability.--The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to claims that ac
