Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Federal A.I. Governance and Transparency Act of 2024''. SEC. 2. ESTABLISHMENT OF FEDERAL AGENCY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM GOVERNANCE REQUIREMENTS. (a) Federal AI System Governance.-- (1) Amendment.--Chapter 35 of title 44, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: ``SUBCHAPTER IV--ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM GOVERNANCE ``Sec. 3591.
