Poor Jack is a traveling carnival that operates at numerous county fairs throughout Indiana. Poor Jack owns and operates rides, with ride operators or “ride jocks” working directly for Poor Jack. Poor Jack also contracts with third-party gaming companies which employ its own game operators or “gamies.” In July 2021, the ride jocks and gamies were on the job at the Jackson County Fair.
