Money Accounts for Growth and Advancement Act

R. 3407 To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to exempt money accounts for growth and advancement from taxation, and for other purposes. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 14, 2025 Mr. Moore of Utah introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to exempt money accounts for growth and advancement from taxation, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; ETC. (a) Short Title.--This Act may be cited as the ``Money Accounts for Growth and Advancement Act'' or the ``MAGA Act''. (b) References.--Except as otherwise expressly provided, whenever in this Act an amendment or repeal is expressed in terms of an amendment to, or repeal of, a section or other provision, the reference shall be considered to be made to a section or other provision of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. SEC. 2. MAGA ACCOUNTS. (a) In General.--Subchapter F of chapter 1 is amended by adding at the end the following new part: ``PART IX--MAGA ACCOUNTS ``SEC. 530A. MAGA ACCOUNTS. ``(a) General Rule.--A MAGA account shall be exempt from taxation under this subtitle. Notwithstanding the preceding sentence, such account shall be subject to the taxes imposed by section 511 (relating to imposition of tax on unrelated business income of charitable organizations). ``(b) MAGA Account.--For purposes of this section-- ``(1) In general.--The term `money account for growth and advancement' or `MAGA account' means a trust created or organized in the United States for the exclusive benefit of an individual and which i
