Relating to different treatment of persons by a public body.

The Act says that the government may not treat people in different ways in jobs, schools or public contracts on the grounds of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin. The Act makes some exceptions. (Flesch Readability Score: 63.3). Provides that a public body may not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin in the operation of public employment, public education or public contracting. Provides certain exceptions.
