Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; TABLE OF CONTENTS. (a) Short Title.--This Act may be cited as the ``Government Surveillance Reform Act of 2026''. (b) Table of Contents.--The table of contents for this Act is as follows: Sec. 1. Short title; table of contents. Sec. 2. Definitions. TITLE I--PROTECTIONS FOR UNITED STATES PERSONS WHOSE COMMUNICATIONS ARE COLLECTED UNDER SECTION 702 OF THE FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE SURVEILLANCE ACT OF 1978 Sec. 101. Protections related to warrantless queries for the communications of United States persons and persons located in the United States. Sec. 102. Limitation on use of information obtained under section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 relating to United States persons and persons located in the United States in criminal, civil, and administrative actions. Sec. 103. Prohibition on reverse targeting of United States persons and persons located in the United States. Sec. 104. Data retention limits for information collected under section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978. Sec. 105.
