Increasing Medication Access for Seniors Act of 2025

R. 6401 To require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to submit to Congress a report on the option to elect to pay cost-sharing under a prescription drug plan or MA-PD plan in monthly capped amounts. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES December 3, 2025 Mrs. Kiggans of Virginia (for herself and Mr. Krishnamoorthi) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Ways and Means, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to submit to Congress a report on the option to elect to pay cost-sharing under a prescription drug plan or MA-PD plan in monthly capped amounts. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Increasing Medication Access for Seniors Act of 2025''. SEC. 2. REPORTS ON MEDICARE PART D MONTHLY CAPPED COST-SHARING OPTION. (a) Reports.--Not later than the date that is 3 months after the date of the enactment of this section, not less frequently than every 3 months thereafter until the date that is 1 year after the date of the enactment of this section, and not less frequently than annually thereafter until March 31, 2031, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (in this section referred to as the ``Secretary'') shall submit to Congress a report on the option to elect to pay cost-sharing under a prescription drug plan or MA-PD plan in monthly capped amounts under section 1860D-2(b
